Tip #36. 9 Reasons to Wake Up Early

Added: 9/9/2007 9:09:09 PM

As it is 9/9 today, I thought it would be good to revamp my earlier article about 9 Reasons to Wake Up Early. Having good reasons to wake up and things to do is a half of success on the way to becoming an early riser. I hope that among the listed reasons you’ll find those that can light a burning desire within you. Here is the link to the article:

If you have any other ideas or reasons why it is good to wake up early and what you could do at morning time, you are welcome to leave your comments on this page. Forgive the hopping, article page doesn't allow comments to be added. My custom blogging platform needs an update :(

I've been getting up early for a while now and it's amazing how quickly it begins to feel natural. If I had to, I guess I could sleep late now, but I really just don't want to. In fact, the other night I went out to grab a few drinks with friends (well, more than a "few") and we all ended up crashin at the same apartment, but I was up and dressed at 9:30 (very late for me) and no one else could even drag themselves out of bed. I went and got some breakfast, then came back and sat out in the sun listening to music until everyone else woke up. Early rising is a way of life - and a wonderful way at that.

I think waking up early is the best thing to do. I feel active all day. Currently I sleep about 6 hours daily. about a month ago I used to sleep 9-10 hours, and whole day was lazy.

I always try to wake up early because if I don't I feel that my whole day is wasted. If I do not get things done in the morning then it would never get done at all. Sure the hardest thing is the actual waking up part but after that I feel great and productive.

At first, it is really hard to wake up early. But as you do it everyday, even you dont use alarm clock, your body wake up natually. Yes, it is true. when you start early, you do a lot of work; you can avoid traffic, rush going to the work, plus you have time to exercise. Waking up early is really a good habit.

Nice article. It really really helps a lot to make a good day for yourself.Earlier, 6 months back i used to sleep at 1.00 am and wake up at 9.Whole day at my work place seems to be latherjic borning and also started having headache regularly. Now I changed my routine totally and I made a BIG difference.Waking up at 6 am , followed by 40 mins of walk.At morning I am no more in hurry for office.Getting enough time to make breakfast at home or watch morning news or to read newspaper. The day starts with a good refreshing feeling And moreover no more late nights..no more heavy heads..now i am getting a sound sleep at 11.00 PM.

You could plan your day's meals ahead of schedule! Sounds silly, but whenever I wake up late, and don't have time to eat a good healthy breakfast or make a healthy lunch, my eating for the entire day goes out of the window!

I'll end up grabbing something from the vending machine from work mid-morning (something probably higher in fat), then I'll nip over to the canteen for something equally as fatty! And by the evening I've given up thinking about what I should or shouldn't be eating.

And all because I didn't get up in time to prepare myself for the day! Thankfully, I'm now pretty self-disciplined so this doesn't happen often! I even use some of the tips on your Top 10 Wake Up Tips list, such as planning important things for the morning to ensure I get up and having a time routine for going to bed and getting up each morning.

Hi there - actually those are all great reasons and I do concider myself a morning person. But I think an important issue which seemed to be neglected is at what time you should go to bed? Of course there are people who only need 4-5 hours of sleep and they are good to go - personally I am not one of them, I need at least 8 solid hours of sleep so I will be fit for the next day. My point is this: When you want to get up early - which I am all for - you should also go to bed early in order to function propperly, just my 2 cents...
